Discover EV Traction Batteries Used in Water Purification Systems Headed to Haiti

Discover Energy Corp. works with Genpro Energy Solutions to Supply Clean & Green® Battery technology for Water Purification in Haiti.

Vancouver, BC – February 8, 2010 – Discover Energy Corp., the market leader in Clean & Green® Stored Energy Solutions, is proud to announce its collaboration with GenPro Energy Solutions to provide much needed drinking water purification systems to Haiti. 

Discover Energy Corp.'s Factory Warehouse in California has partnered with GenPro Energy Solutions and supplied Discover’s EV31A Traction Batteries that will be used in the water purification systems that are headed to Haiti.  The Discover EV Traction Dry Cell batteries provide a non-hazardous, Clean & Green®  energy solution for the Water Purification system.

Although there have been numerous efforts to get clean drinking water to Haiti, over a million people still need clean drinking water. "Discover Energy Corp. is pleased to play a part in this effort, and have our batteries supply power for these mission critical water purification systems. Our EV31A-A batteries are non-hazardous and offer a long run time for the much needed water supply,” said Lehann Wallace, VP Marketing, Discover Energy Corp.

The Water Purification system effort is spearheaded by LifeGiving Force, and is in collaboration with several companies including Nimbus Water Systems, Shift Power Solutions, GenPro Energy Solutions and GenPro Power Services, resulting in a world-class innovative water filtration system.  The system is designed for disaster relief and to be used off-grid with its own renewable energy system. The system can turn dirty non-potable water into clean water and produce 18,000 plus gallons of fresh drinking water per day which in turn can provide the minimum drinking needs of 30,000 plus people.
