We regularly test Discover™ products against 6 reference categories. These are;

These broader categories have included within them a list of references such as electrical requirements for the batteries capacity at various rates, charging procedures, float and cyclic voltages, transfer response voltages, voltage and capacity matching procedures, re-charge efficiencies, short circuit effects, cycling rates and times, minimum cell voltages, cell reversals and life; chemical testing done for data against electrolyte, specific gravity, recombination efficiency, gassing, corrosion, positive plate growth, active material breakdown, cell pressures, water loss — dry out and thermal runaway references; testing for environmental experiences under various temperature, humidity, altitude, fire, shock-vibration, weight-stacking, marking, packaging and mounting; physical design study of containers, covers, terminals and labeling; and the list goes on.
We do these tests — and many more — on an on going basis, but we don't just do them to be able to publish pretty graphs or to make fancy claims. This ongoing testing supports the sales and service efforts of Discover OEM's, Dealers, Agents and Distributors who put our products together with their equipment and reputation. We push ourselves through testing to continually improve the quality of the experience the final end user will have when using a Discover product. We do this testing to take the risk out of developing product types and sizes that are not available from anyone else in the world because our customers and the market need them.
